Blue Cicada original design wearable art brooch.

Cicadas remind me of visits to my grandparent's house in the Blue Mountains of NSW. My brother and I only saw them when we were lucky enough to holiday from Perth, and we would collect all of the shells we could find in the back garden.
This cicada brooch is a lot larger than those fragile golden shells we found stuck to trees!
Big and bold, it's a simple design with touches of detail such as the wings and the beady eyes.
The transparent wings have a blue tint which appears from different angles.
Measures approx 75mm x 30mm
My designs are laser cut from acrylic sheet before adding hand painted details and assembling.
Due to the nature of the materials and the handmade process, minor inconsistencies can occur.
Please care for your acrylic by protecting against scratches and keeping away from perfumes and water.
